We all knew about Barack had a great sense of humor, but this week, we got a deeper look into just how funny he was.

According to NDTV, former President Obama is just like us and often doodled at the White House … likely, during important meetings. Those doodles went to the highest bidder at a recent auction. Guess how much they sold for?

$11,000!

The drawings were expected to take in about $8,000, but of course Obama's brand is all about exceeding expectations!

If you're wondering what kind of doodles Obama drew, it has been reported that some of them included self-portraits. One particular drawing read, "Making America Competitive Again."

"A unique, humorous glimpse into Obama's own doodling habits — odd shapes and self-portraits — this sheet also features a single line of writing that bears an uncanny resemblance to the U.S. president, Donald Trump's, campaign slogan Make America Great Again," read a statement from RR Auctions.

Obama got jokes?!

The stationary wasn't dated, but it turns out that sentence was actually an allusion to Obama's 2009 speech regarding his crackdown on illegal overseas tax evasion, and his mission to create more jobs right here in America.

"We will stop letting American companies that create jobs overseas take deductions on their expenses when they do not pay any American taxes on their profits," Obama said at the time. "We will use the savings to give tax cuts to companies that are investing in research and development here at home so that we can jump start job creation, foster innovation and enhance Americas competitiveness."

Each of the doodles were drawn on five-by-eight White House stationary, and were bordered by shapes and abstract squiggles. The winning bidder received a total of 11 drawings and a letter from Samuel Sutton, who served as Obama's personal valet.
