The remaining Democratic presidential candidates came together Wednesday night for the final night of the second round of debates in Detroit, Michigan. The night was filled with highlight moments from Sens. Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand and Cory Booker, former Vice President Joe Biden and entrepreneur Andrew Yang, among others.
Here are six of the best moments from Wednesday night's Democratic debate.
1. Protestors interrupted Sen. Cory Booker's opening statement with "Fire Pantaleo!"
As the debate began, protestors in the audience launched into prepared chants of "Fire Pantaleo!" Despite the chant taking place during Sen. Cory Booker's opening statement, the protest was directed at New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The chant called for the firing of Daniel Pantaleo, the NYPD officer who killed Eric Garner after putting him in an illegal chokehold, despite Garner's calls that he couldn't breathe. De Blasio has refused action on the case since it was announced that Pantaleo would walk free of charges, and was confronted with the opportunity to speak on it by former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro.
Eric Garner was put in an illegal chokehold, he said he couldn't breathe 11 times.
Officer Pantaleo should not be on the streets, he should be fired. #DemDebate2

2. Andrew Yang said America needs the "opposite of Trump".
In his opening statement, Andrew Yang wasted no time in introducing his signature proposal of a $1,000 per month "freedom dividend" but, this time, with a little contrast.
It’s the second night of the #DemDebate and Andrew Yang came out swinging! “We need to do the opposite of much of what we're doing right now. And the opposite of Donald Trump is an Asian man who likes math." ???????? #DemDebate2

3. Biden was all in the Kool-Aid and didn't even know the flavor.
The debate turned to criminal justice reform, and CNN moderator Jake Tapper asked Biden to respond to Booker's criticism of his plan. Biden's response called portions of Booker's plan into question, and the New Jersey senator had his rebuttal ready.
Whew, the gloves are coming off ???? #CoryBooker clapped back at #JoeBiden after going back and forth over #criminaljusticereform ????”You're dipping in the Koolaid and you don't even know the flavor." #DemDebate

Many on Twitter were divided on whether the line worked for Booker or not, but even some of those that saw the line as corny still appreciated Booker's joy while delivering it.
watching the Biden/Booker exchange again, it will never not be endearingly corny the way Booker always smiles/laughs at his own jokes before he gets to the punch line. He was cheesing before he'd gotten the word Kool-Aid out

4. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard bodied Kamala Harris' record as attorney general.
Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard took on the California senator by calling her out for her record as California's attorney general. Gabbard pointed to the many people locked up during Harris' tenure and looked for an apology to those put in prison during her aggressive run.

5. Kirsten Gillibrand called on White women to do better in the fight against systematic racism.
Sen. Gillibrand took a moment to attempt to explain what living a life of privilege in America means, pointing out that it's "not just up to Cory [Booker] and Kamala [Harris]" to fight institutional racism.
@SenGillibrand is making it clear, “it can’t be the responsibility of people of color alone to fight institutional racism in this country.” #DemDebate

She touted herself as the person who could explain issues of institutional racism to White moms in the suburbs who may not have had an understanding of this issue when they jumped to vote for Trump in 2016.
