Miami-based producer DJ Khaled is not without a multitude of professional successes. Multiple award nominations, 11 studio albums and several chart-topping singles to his name, there might be some truth to his “We the Best” proverb.

However, according to the 44-year-old, nothing compares to having and raising a family, especially when you were raised with those same values.

“My parents raised me to be a hardworking person,” Khaled told NBCBLK’s Alex Titus. “They had so much going on all at once and were still able to maintain a great household. That rubbed off on me and that’s why I’m able to juggle all of these different things going at the same time.”

Perhaps by “all of these different things,” the Grammy Award winner means fatherhood and musical domination. Khaled and his longtime love Nicole Tuck are parents to two boys. Here are a few facts about the family of four:

1. Khaled and Tuck welcomed son Asahd Tuck Khaled in 2016

On October 23, Tuck gave birth to son Asahd, which translates to “Lion” in Arabic. Given the producer is used to Snapchatting his every move, it’s no surprise he did the same for the birth of Asahd.

“The key is that I’m the king and every queen should support the king. I’m going to talk to the doctor and if the doctor says everything is gonna run smooth, meaning that we wanna make sure that the queen is right and my son is right. If it’s running smooth where I can just do my thing, I’mma Snapchat the whole thing,” he explained to Jimmy Kimmel shortly before Asahd’s arrival, via Us Magazine.

To say Asahd is a young icon would be an understatement. Not only has he covered major magazines and walked the red carpet for award shows adults would dream of attending, but the three-year-old is listed as the executive producer on Khaled’s 2017 project Grateful, Jay-Z's and Beyonce's single, "Shining,” and Khaled’s 11th studio album Father of Asahd.

"He's in the studio listening to songs with me, going over the business part of it," DJ Khaled said to Jimmy Kimmel, divulging what his producer credits mean "He can tell if the vocals are right, if the beats are right, if the energy is right."

2. Asahd is a huge sneakerhead, with thousands of custom-made trainers

Speaking with Complex in October 2017, Khaled and his mini me showed off their massive sneaker collection filled with Yeezy's, Jordan’s and other high-end labels.

The We the Best boss also revealed that he’s saving his specially-made closet for Asahd, so that he can also wear his father’s shoes when he grows up.

3. Khaled took swift action when someone tried to profit off his son’s name

These days, it’s not uncommon for celebrities to file trademarks protecting the ownership of their children’s likeness. Khaled did just that in April 2018. According to Billboard, a company was trying to seek control of the names Asahd, Asahd Couture, and A.S.A.H.D A Son And His Dad. That didn’t sit well with Khaled, so he and Tuck secured trademarks on products such as fragrances, apparel and various baby items like pacifiers and cribs.

4. Asahd’s younger brother Aalam was born earlier this year

After announcing they were expecting a second child in mid-September 2019, Khaled and Tuck made Asahd a big brother earlier this year, welcoming son Aalam Khaled on January 21.

The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented the family of four from experiencing some normalcy, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been enjoying life while staying safe. In August, Aalam took his first trip overseas.

Khaled famously said his greatest wish in life was to “inspire the world to be great and to leave a legacy.” From the looks of his professional accolades and personal accomplishments, he is doing just that and more.
