Two white men are facing hate crime charges after they harassed a Black woman in a Louisiana Walmart.

Dylan Reynolds and Michael Walters were arrested on Thursday and are still in custody, according to The News-Star. The men were given a bond of $20,000 each.

The two men approached the unidentified Black woman as she left Walmart in West Monroe, Louisiana, on November 29. They called her "n****r" and followed her to her car where their harassment continued, according to a police report acquired by KNOE. The attack was unprovoked.

“The female rushed the items in her vehicle and tried to escape the two white males while they were yelling racial slurs at her,” the report reads.

“As the victim fled the scene in her vehicle, one of the two white males chased after her on foot while pushing an empty shopping cart. The male violently crashed the shopping cart into the rear end area of the victim’s vehicle as she slowed for 'speed bumps' in the parking lot near the front entrance area of the business.”

After attacking the car, Reynolds and Walters sped off in a pickup truck. The impact from the shopping cart cost the victim over $1000 in repairs.

The men were free until they were identified using surveillance footage, their social media profiles and tips from the public. Walters and Reynolds were charged with a felony hate crime. If convicted, they face a fine up to $5,000 and a maximum of five years in jail.
