We could learn a thing or two from Kheri Rogers.

As a young fifth grader, Rogers has already dealt with her share of bullying. Her skin complexion has been a constant source of angst and the focal point of negative commentary from a few of her classmates. On one occasion, during a classroom activity, Rogers' own teacher handed her a black crayon to draw herself. While hurt, the Rogers family opted to turn those lemons into lemonade.

With the help of her sister Taylor and full support of the family, Kheris has now become a viral sensation.

The tweet garnered the attention of many, receiving more than 30,000 retweets and social shares across the internet. Love and support poured in from many encouraging the young preteen to keep her confidence up, noting how beautiful she truly is and commending her for her certified slay.

Get into it.

Taylor continues to post images of her younger sibling, and has even helped to curate the tweets on Kheris' personal page. Her goal? To fill her sister and those who can relate with affirmations of positivity and unconditional self-love. "I told Kheris now that she has the attention she should use it as a positive outlet,” Taylor said in an interview with BuzzFeed. “I think it’s important to use the platform to positively influence other kids.”
