When one thinks of prolific talk show hosts, Wendy Williams automatically comes to mind. Some of us grew up listening to Williams on the radio, and some of us got our first glimpse of her on the eponymous Wendy Williams talk show. Whether you love or hate her avant-garde style of dishing out celebrity gossip and reporting the news, one could never understate her significance or contributions to the world of daytime television. The world recently learned that Williams’ reign would end as she recovers from ongoing health issues, but her influence cannot be erased.

To commemorate a wonderful run, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite moments from The Wendy Williams Show.

1. Omarosa’s fiery entrance

Early on in the show’s history, famed reality television queen Omarosa Manigault Newman appeared to promote an upcoming book, and things got a bit rocky. Newman sauntered onto the stage with the claws out as she and Williams had a bit of an awkward moment that resulted in quite the interview.

2. Giving Joseline Hernandez her flowers

When most people think of the sentiment “give them their flowers,” they likely mean it more endearingly. That might not have been the case for this interaction for Williams, as at one point during her interview with Joseline Hernandez, she was pelting flower petals at the young musician.

3. Wendy’s two-step

Wendy may be one of the greatest interviewers of our time, but she could also be a contender for the crown of dance, as well. During Young M.A’s performance a few years ago, Williams can be seen shaking a tailfeather.

4. The "Ask Wendy" segment

Many people have come to love the “Hot Topics” portion of the show, but the “Ask Wendy” segment is where it gets really juicy. During this time, Williams allows her audience members to ask her anything, and let’s just say, they never disappoint.

5. The Aretha Franklin interview

Aretha Franklin was known for many things like her amazing voice and iconic style, but her interview with Williams unearthed that she was the queen of clapping back, as well. In this fun, jovial interview, the two can be seen engaging in dialog where Franklin didn’t hold Williams up at all.

What will you miss about this iconic show? We don’t know what the future holds for Miss Williams, but we surely hope to see her and that iconic purple chair on our television screens again in the near future.
