Eagle, Idaho coach Jeromy Tarkon was simply walking to his car on what he thought was a normal Sunday morning when he found a racist, threatening letter on his windshield, KMVT reports.

"It's because of liberals like you that our state is full of n*gers [sic] and w*tbacks," the read read. "Your n*ger [sic] boy made the soccer field unclean by stepping on it … Be careful how you coach, one day you might piss off the wrong parent or families."

The unsigned letter then ended with the final warning: "Be careful."

Tarkon, who is not only a is a coach, but also the president of the Juniors Futbol Club, posted the letter to Facebook along with a lengthy statement that celebrated diversity and tolerance.

"After receiving this letter full of hate, I have concluded that racism is as real today as it was in the past. I cannot and will not stand idly any longer," wrote Tarkon.

"We need to be aware of what is happening in our community so we can rally around each other and fight this hate," Tarkon added. "We will stand hand to hand, shoulder to shoulder, and stand against those that preach hate. Moving forward, this is what the Idaho Juniors will be doing to fight hate and racism."

Tarkon ended his post by called for help from the community in the fight against racism. "Together, we can fight racism with love, awareness and committing to things mentioned above. We are asking for community support. Together, we can build a world that is safe for all children to live in."

The call was answered quickly, with other teams, parents and members of the community offering their support.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office confirmed that local police are investigating the incident as malicious harrassment and are currently searching for leads.

"The abhorrent contents of the letter do not reflect the values of the Eagle Police Department or the residents of Eagle," said the sheriff's office. "We treat such crimes against our citizens seriously and continue to actively investigate the case."
