An Indianapolis teen created a bonnet with pockets and her creation is going viral.

"I loved the thought of me keeping my hair ties and bobby pins inside of my bonnet," 19-year-old Ariel Williams tells Buzzfeed News.

Williams founded the Babiana collection two years ago after she began thinking of ways to store small hair accessories and not finding any other bonnets on the market containing pockets.

After a friend posted a video showcasing her bonnets last week, the tweet took off and people began taking notice of a fresh, new and innovative product.

"She uploaded, and then boom — it’s getting hundreds of likes and retweets. I’m very grateful for her and my supporters who have been supporting me for two years now," Williams said.

While some people were here for the never-before-seen bonnets, the item was also highly controversial with some users referring to it as "ghetto."

Some even referenced comedian Mo'Nique's recent Instagram post where she said it's distasteful for young Black women to appear in public with a bonnet and loungewear on.

"I saw so many of our young sisters in head bonnets, scarves, slippers, pajamas blankets wrapped around them and this is how they're showing up to the airport," the actress said. "The question that I have for you my sweet babies is when did we lose pride in representing ourselves?"

"When did we step away of let me make sure I'm presentable when I leave my home?" When did we step away let me make sure I'm representing the family that I created so that when I'm out in the street I look like I have pride in myself," she continued.

The Baltimore native emphasized that people wearing bonnets outside of the house aren't properly representing themselves.

"Always have pride in your representation of you," she said. "If you look like you don't give a damn, how you gonna be treated? Queens don't walk around with bonnets, and headscarves, and slippers and pajamas, that's for the house."

Despite the lovers and the haters, Williams is taking her business to new heights.

"Inside the house, outside the house, it’s your business. Either way, I encourage everyone to be themselves and own it," she said.

Barbiana Collections also has its very own app with exclusive products and deals.

The company also makes bonnets for babies. Additionally, there is a line specifically for dogs called the Dogiana Collection that has matching sets for owners and their puppies.
