Chef Alisa Reynolds, the owner of My Two Cents, an L.A. restaurant that features a Southern-style menu, is being sued.

Now her two-year-old business hangs in the balance. She could lose her restaurant if she cannot come up with the funds needed to keep it open and settle the lawsuit at the same time.

“For the past two years, I have suffered in silence because of a legal battle. Honestly, I am facing the biggest obstacle of my professional life. If you have ever watched me cook, you know that I am most careful to take my time to bring out tremendous flavor in the food I prepare," Reynolds wrote on a GoFundMe page.

The chef has turned to the crowdfunding site in hopes of raising $130,000 by August 15.

"The time is now and the need is immediate. Please donate what you can to support our role in our wonderful community and to keep me cooking at this place I call home," she added.

After posting her plea, Reynolds received an outpouring of support from foodies, colleagues, family and friends.

However, with time running out, it seemed that this support would not be enough.

So two famous fans decided to help the chef out.

According to Cassius Life, Solange and Issa Rae plan to co-hosting a fundraising event called Wind And Grind on Friday, August 11 at a secret location in Los Angeles to raise the rest of the money needed to keep Reynolds' restaurant open.

Solange and Rae will be accompanied by Melia Matsoukas, director of "Formation" and Insecure), and Kelly Rowland.

People wasted no time hopping on board. The tickets for the event sold out almost immediately.

According to the event page, all of the proceeds will go toward Reynolds and her restaurant.

Congratulations to Alisa Reynolds and hats off to Solange, Issa Rae and all of Reynold's many supporters. And be sure to check out Reynolds' unrivaled and tasty recipes if you're ever in L.A.

You go, girls!
