Jada Pinkett Smith clarified some of the comments she made regarding her sex life with her husband Will Smith during the latest episode of Red Table Talk featuring Gwyneth Paltrow. Because she had "time today," the Girls Trip actress reshared the episode on Twitter, adding that her words were somehow misconstrued in news articles and on social media.

"Stop making up headlines. Watch the @RedTableTalk I did with @GwynethPaltrow for yourselves. Will and I have NEVER had an issue in the bedroom. Thank you," she tweeted Monday evening.

During the episode, Pinkett Smith, joined by her mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris and Willow Smith, discussed the importance of communication when it comes to being intimate with your partner — no matter how long the two have been together.

“The thing Will and I talk about a lot is the journey. We started in this at a very young age, you know, 22 years old,” she explained. “That’s why the accountability part really hit for me because I think you expect your partner to know [what you need], especially when it comes to sex. It’s like, ‘Well, if you love me, you should know. If you love me, you should read my mind.’ That’s a huge pitfall.”

Paltrow seconded the idea, adding, “Isn’t it weird, though? It’s like someone doesn’t read your mind and we feel crushed.”

“Crushed!” Pinkett Smith echoed. “You tell me what you need. Tell me what you want, and on top of it, I know that I have to be accountable to do the same,” the actress added. “I really try. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s deeply healthy, and I think around sex, because it’s something that we don’t talk about a lot and there’s so much fantasy around it.”

Social media quickly jumped on the news of Will and Jada's love lives, with many bringing up the former "entanglement" she had with R&B singer August Alsina, as Blavity previously reported. She and her husband have since answered questions about their relationship a number of times. Recently, Will suggested in an interview with GQ that the couple explored ideas of an open marriage

Some fans defended the mother of two on Twitter.

"Am I the only one who actually watches RTT? At what point does Jada talk about her marriage all the time? There were 3 episodes that she talked about her history with Will and then 'that other thing.' She doesn’t 'throw shade' on her husband. A lot of you sound jealous," someone wrote.

"No you didn’t exactly say y’all had problems in the bedroom I watched the entire show like I always do," another said. "Everytime you put Will in a 'questionable' light the sharks will come because of the August entanglement red table talk you had with Will.I believe that 'talk' was a mistake."

According to Page Six, the Smiths have been married since 1997 and have two children together: 23-year-old son Jaden and 20-year-old daughter Willow.
