While Jada Pinkett Smith shared a never-before-seen poem by Tupac Shakur on what would have been the rapper's 50th birthday, social media made a mockery of the tribute.

"Tupac Amaru Shakur would have been 50 midnight tonight!" Jada wrote on Instagram before the wise ones showed up to crack jokes. "As we prepare to celebrate his legacy … let's remember him for that which we loved most … his way with words. Here are a few you may have never heard before."

The 49-year-old entertainer then shared a hand-written poem from the legendary artist, titled "Lost Soulz."

"Some say nothing gold can last forever / And 2 believe this [I] need no proof / I have witnessed all that was pure in me / And be changed by the evil men can do / The innocence possessed by children / Once lived inside my soul / But surviving years with criminal peers / Has turned my warm heart to cold / I used 2 dream and fantasize / But now I'm scared 2 sleep / Petrified, not to live or die / But to awaken and still be me," Tupac wrote in the poem.

The rapper proceeds to illustrate the life he wants to live before he dies.

"It is true that nothing gold can last / We will all one day see death / When the purest hearts are torn apart / LOST SOULS are all that's left / Down on my knees I beg of God / To save me from this fate / Let me live to see what was gold in me / Before it is all too late," the poem continued.

Pinkett Smith may have been intending to inspire her fans by sharing the powerful words but, the internet simply ended up having too much fun with the tribute, particularly firing shots at Will Smith.

Smith, who has been married to Jada since 1997, has continued to face crude humor since he sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club last year and admitted that he envied his wife's relationship with Tupac.

"Oh, f**k yeah," Smith said when he was asked if he was ever jealous of the love Jada had for Tupac. "That was in the early days. That was a big regret for me, too, because I could never open up to interact with Pac."

Pinkett Smith's latest tribute now serves as more ammo for social media.

Most assume that Tupac still remains a forever love for the actress.

Smith may have accomplished everything he wants in life, but his love life continues to be scrutinized by the public.

Some decided to reexamine Tupac's lyrics, just to see if there were some subliminal messages intended for Smith.

If Pinkett Smith continues to dedicate tributes to her ex-lover, the jokes may never end for her husband.

While speaking with The Breakfast Club, Smith said his wife's relationship with Tupac was never sexual although they had grown up together.

"They had come into the age where now that was a possibility and Jada was with me," the 52-year-old said, according to CNN Entertainment. "Pac had a little thing with that, but she just loved him. He was the image of perfection, but she was with the Fresh Prince."
