Last weekend, an simple Old Navy tweet advertising their 30 percent off sale sent internet trolls into a firestorm. The harmless tweet featured an interracial family.
Oh, happy day! Our #ThankYouEvent is finally here. Take 30% off your entire purchase: https://t.co/nGQ9Pji1pN pic.twitter.com/vq4mIczm6A

The racists and bigots on Twitter were just unable to handle it! How dare Old Navy have a model family with parents of different races!?
After this, people began spreading their support for Old Navy using the ad and interracial couples began sharing photos of their families to shut down the haters.
@OldNavy love this!!!!!

Jack McCain, the son of former U.S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain, chimed in as well, sharing photos of him and his wife, Renee Swift McCain.
To the people upset about the #OldNavy “Scandal” of an a picture of a mixed race marriage, eat it. @Reneeitchka pic.twitter.com/yA5YwbZRcm

I hope this one burns too, you ignorant racists. Here is us on our wedding day. @Reneeitchka pic.twitter.com/1VSd2gqH9W

The naysayers wouldn’t even let McCain share his message of love in peace, but he wasn’t having it.
@_AltRight_ @Reneeitchka She is a strong, fiercely independent, well educated woman, and far more than I deserve.
