Jonathan Majors has filed a domestic violence complaint against the alleged victim, who he claims attacked him during the March 25 dispute in New York City.
This is according to an incident report obtained by Insider.
According to the complaint, Majors went to the Chinatown precinct on June 21, a day after he appeared in court on assault and harassment charges. He then shared details on what happened between him and his ex-girlfriend, 30-year-old Grace Jabbari, who has accused him of assault.
Majors said Jabbari was “drunk and hysterical” the night of the alleged attack and that she slapped, grabbed and scratched his face and caused him to bleed, per Insider. The 33-year-old also alleged Jabbari had previously attacked him on prior occasions, though none reported, including a “verbal dispute in London that became physical,” the incident report said.
As Blavity reported, Majors was arrested on March 25 on charges of strangulation, harassment and assault. At the time, Jabbari told police she was assaulted by Majors and had to go to a nearby hospital after “sustaining minor injuries to her head and neck,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Though she received a restraining order against Majors, he and his defense attorneys insist that he is innocent and deny the woman’s accusations.
“From the beginning, we have said Jonathan Majors is innocent and provably the victim here,” Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry said in a statement shared with Entertainment Weekly. “Last week, for the first time, Mr. Majors met with the NYPD to present them with evidence of what really happened on that night.”
In his report, police checked off “yes” in a list of yes/no questions on Major’s complaint form. “Is suspect capable of killing you or children?,”
“Is suspect violently and constantly jealous of you?” and “Has the physical violence increased in frequency or severity over the past 6 months?” per Insider.
Majors has denied causing harm to Jabbari and claimed she assaulted him and accused him of receiving texts from another woman. He explained in the incident report that he pulled away from Jabbari after she “grabbed for his face, coat, and phone” as the altercation shifted into traffic. The Marvel star also admitted to picking up Jabbari and shoving her into their chauffeured black Cadillac to protect her.
“I was worried she would be hurt by traffic. So I physically picked her up and put her in the car,” according to the incident report.
He also accused Jabbari of stealing his iPhone and a “Rolex vintage watch” as well as charging luxury items around $6,000 to $7,000 on his credit card, the incident report stated, per Insider.
Majors is due back in court for his Aug. 3 trial date.
