Update (Dec. 29, 2021):  More details are being revealed about an incident on a plane involving a passenger who allegedly attacked an elderly man. Patricia Cornwall, now labeled "Delta Karen," compared herself to the late civil rights icon Rosa Parks during her flight from Tampa to Atlanta, according to Law and Crime.

Cornwall felt entitled to evoke Parks' name when she was told to sit down on a Delta Airlines flight and refused.

She was making her way from the restroom back to her seat on the flight when her path was obstructed by a flight attendant pushing a beverage cart. Cornwall asked for assistance to get back to her seat before the flight attendant instructed the woman to find another empty seat until the beverage service finished.

Cornwall rudely replied, "What am I, Rosa Parks?" according to documents filed by the FBI.

A nearby traveler, Russell Miller, 80, overheard the heated exchange and immediately scolded Cornwall and allegedly told her that she "isn't Black," and "this isn't Alabama, and this isn't a bus."

Miller demanded Cornwall take a seat, and an argument quickly ensued, official documents stated. The passenger is then seen on video telling her "Sit down, Karen," and calling her a derogatory name. Cornwall then attacked him, punching, scratching and spitting on the 80-year old man.

The FBI ended up taking Cornwall into custody. She was released on an unsecured $20,000 bond and is prohibited from traveling on any interstate commercial carriers including a plane, bus or train while she is out on bail except for a flight back to her home in Los Angeles.

Cornwall could be sentenced to one year in prison and be required to pay a $100,000 fine if convicted, according to court documents obtained by CNN.

The 51-year-old, who is currently a real estate agent, was once an NFL cheerleader for the Los Angeles Raiders. She also guest appeared on Married… With Children in 1989 and Baywatch in 1987, the New York Post reports.

Original (Dec. 27, 2021): A woman is accused of violently accosting an elderly man for not wearing his mask on a Delta flight.

On Thursday, Patricia Cornwall was identified as a passenger on Delta flight 2790 heading from Tampa to Atlanta. She was accused of attacking a senior traveler because he lowered his mask to eat and drink, TMZ reports.

In the video that has circulated online, Cornwall is seen invading his space, repeatedly demanding him to mask up as both exchange expletive-laden responses.

“Put your f**king mask on!” she yells at the male passenger, while her mask is conspicuously resting below her chin.

“Sit down, Karen!” he fires back at Cornwall, eliciting laughter from the flyers in the cabin.

“You mask up, b****!” he shouts.

After becoming irate, she then smacks the man.

"You're going to jail, that's assault, as soon as we get to Atlanta, you're going to jail," the man shouts.

Delta flight attendants try to de-escalate the situation and apprehend the woman, who continues to yell “You f**king piece of s**t!”

Upon landing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Cornwall was approached by police at Gate A11.

“Based on the statements gathered and visible evidence, officers detained Ms. Cornwall and contacted the on-call FBI agent,” a statement by the police read, the New York Post reports. “The officers then relocated with Ms. Cornwall to the domestic Atlanta Police precinct where FBI agents responded and took custody of Ms. Cornwall.”

A representative from Delta also released a statement saying, "situations like these are rare for the vast majority of our customers and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior at our airports and aboard our aircraft."
