On the heels of the release of the first trailer for VH1’s TLC biopic, which she stars in, Keke Palmer has signed up to star in a Drew Barrymore-produced horror feature film, titled Animal, which follows a group of friends stranded in unfamiliar territory, who find themselves being hunted by a blood-thirsty predator. Locked inside a cabin, where they hope to fend off the predator, they start to turn on each other, as secrets are revealed; but they eventually realized that they have to band together to survive the night’s ordeal, as the body count rises.

Formula… it works!

Joining Palmer in the film will be Eve (yes, Eve, the rapper/actor), Amaury NolascoParker YoungJoey Lauren AdamsElizabeth GilliesPaul IaconoThorsten Kaye and Jeremy Sumpter, rounding out the supporting cast.

Animal will receive a limited release in theaters in 2014, before heading to Chiller, the horror cable TV network.

Barrymore is an executive producer alongside Nancy Juvonen, and producers Chris Miller, Ember Truesdell, Kelly Smith and Hutson.

Ms Palmer manages to stay quite busy, whether in starring or supporting roles. We last saw her in Lifetime’s Abducted: The Carlina White Story. Up next, she plays Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas in VH1’s Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story. She also recently joined the ensemble cast of an upcoming new DIRECTV drama series from Neil Labute, titled Full Circle, described as a modern day La Ronde meets My Dinner with Andre.
