Kendrick Lamar and SZA have requested a judge throw out a lawsuit accusing them of stealing an artist’s work for their “All Of The Stars” music video.
Visual artist Lina Iris Viktor filed a lawsuit in February accusing the Kendrick and SZA of using her art in the video without her permission. She says Marvel approached her about using her art in the video in November 2016, but she declined the offer.
We knew this looked like Lina Iris Viktor’s work when All The Stars dropped. That she was allegedly approached twice for the use of her art, declined, yet it still appeared in the video is new. pic.twitter.com/Mg12ZVgMux

Viktor is seeking a licensing fee and public apology.
Well, it looks like that ain’t gone happen.
According to TMZ, the musicians argue "common sense and logic dictate that the alleged 19 second use of the artwork in the video" did not contribute to the song’s success.
Instead, their documents claim K.Dot’s "worldwide popularity as well as numerous accolades, including a Pulitzer Prize and dozens of Grammys" and the hype around Black Panther made the song profitable.
Ouch.
Viktor has not commented on the matter.
