Gemini SZN runs from May 21 to June 20. Because Kodak Black’s birthday is on June 11, the Florida icon is represented by this infamous astrology sign.

Because Geminis are symbolized by the twins, they’re heavily associated with the general aspect of duality.

Gemini is also one of the zodiac‘s three air signs, solidifying its status as a social, multifaceted creative. However, Gemini also happens to be one of those signs with quite an infamous reputation. Mainly, this generally stems from its “two-faced” duality.

With many already having a predetermined opinion of Geminis, it feels fitting to go all-in and look at how the controversial Kodak Black embodies these notions.

Let’s kick off Gemini SZN by showing how the “Roll in Peace” rapper lives up to this notorious astrology sign’s reputation.

He straight-up embraces negative Gemini traits

First, we have to address how Kodak Black owns his Gemini tendencies.

In his 2017 single “Halloween,” the rapper opens by speaking on Geminis’ infamous emotional duality.

“Gemini woke up on the wrong side of the sheets / But b***h I should’ve been born on Halloween,” he says in the song.

While Kodak Black has no problem owning his Gemini tendencies, it sounds like he vibes with the idea of being a Halloween-born Scorpio.

He masterfully balances wastefulness and generosity

Speaking of duality, Kodak Black also exemplified this with a money-related matter last year.

In June 2021, the rapper memorably rubbed people the wrong way after uploading videos showing him throwing stacks of money into the ocean and toilet, showing off that cash doesn’t mean a thing to the Broward County legend.

The following month, however, Kodak Black put his excess money to better use by donating numerous A/C units to residents of the Golden Acres Projects in Pompano Beach.

This shows that Kodak Black — like a true Gemini — moves exactly how he sees fit and no one can stop him.

He's quite the social butterfly

Gemini, an air sign ruled by Mercury, is also known for being associated with charisma and general sociality and Kodak Black’s résumé proves that he lives up to this.

With high-profile features including Lil Wayne, Latto, Future, Gunna, French Montana and Moneybagg Yo, Kodak Black can be heard contributing to a plethora of tracks.

The Broward County rapper was recently featured numerous times (though only credited once) on Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album, proving that he’s a major rap star who keeps his connections solid.

He's always at the center of some controversy

Since we’re talking about Kodak Black, it’s only natural that we’d touch on his many controversies.

The list is admittedly quite long, though some dishonorable mentions include him lashing out against DreamDoll and Yung Miami for rejecting him, saying he’d dump his pregnant girlfriend if she gave birth to a girl and making creepy comments about Lauren London.

As Blavity previously reported, Kodak Black was also recently accused of being a colorist after he allegedly only made it rain on light-skinned women in the strip club.

Similar to how Geminis can’t ever avoid astrological slander, Kodak Black appears to be a living magnet for controversy. However, while Gemini’s trash-talk is mainly rooted in stereotypes, the rapper continues to put himself in hot water through his actions.

He's totally unpredictable

Finally, going back to Geminis’ most notorious trait, Kodak Black has established himself as an unpredictable force to be reckoned with.

While much of the rapper’s unpredictably relates to his numerous controversies, he also offers an array of other examples. For instance, on his legendary XXL cypher in 2016, Kodak Black memorably started his verse by denouncing the “sorry-ass” beat.

Additionally, the rapper made headlines for some eyebrow-raising reasons earlier this year after he was seemingly caught “doing the deed” at a hockey game.

We also have to acknowledge how Kodak Black tried to veer into the political sphere, as he pleaded for ex-president Donald Trump to “pull up” on him in prison so he could share “a brilliant idea” he concocted.

Far from being ordinary, Kodak Black continues showing that he’s a public figure who continues to surprise onlookers.
