Imagine if the man of your dreams was there with you to answer your every question, fulfill your every desire and do whatever you say without opposition? Well, look no further, Amazon recently created a commercial where Michael B. Jordan takes on the role of its popular Alexa as your next voice assistant.
In a recently teased Super Bowl commercial as seen on TODAY, the Creed II star is seen as the new body of Amazon's Alexa, while having the device's original technological brain and functioning. Within the first four hours of the teaser on the Black Panther star’s Instagram, it amassed over 2 million views.
Jordan, who was recently named People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2020, has piercing blue Alexa-enabled eyes in the teaser to symbolize the color of the activation ring for the Amazon gadget.
In Amazon's commercial, a Black woman gazes out of the window as she watches a bus pass by promoting Jordan’s latest acting venture, Without Remorse, which is set to release via Amazon Studios this year. She turned to Alexa and imagined what life would be like if Jordan were the physical embodiment of the software used to play music and remind people of their daily tasks.
"I literally couldn't imagine a more beautiful vessel for Alexa to be inside," said the leading character in the commercial.
As Alexa, Jordan's seen in the commercial turning on the sprinklers, while standing in the midst of the water, and seductively answering questions about baking measurements on demand.
Jordan's reported girlfriend Lori Harvey commented on the teaser he posted on his Instagram account, with heart eyes and a flaming emoji.
Other notable names who have collaborated with Amazon for a Super Bowl commercial in the past have included Missy Elliott, Cardi B and Alec Baldwin.
“The e-commerce platform has used the Super Bowl as an opportunity to not only advertise its voice assistant and hardware, but to showcase some of Hollywood’s elite,” according to AdWeek.
The buzz of this steamy teaser featuring Jordan comes around the same time Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, announced that he will step down from the role later this year and transition to the executive chairman of Amazon’s board, CNBC reports.
