LeToya Luckett kicked off her new YouTube series, Leave It To LeToya, with a bang, Vibe reports.

In the series’ first episode, entitled “Having a Conversation with My Ex,” the singer and actress sat down with her ex Slim Thug for a candid conversation about their relationship.

In the episode, Luckett explains that she and the rapper, whose real name is Stayve Jerome Thomas, met at a club after the rapper expressed interest in the singer, Black Enterprise reports. Luckett lived in Atlanta at the time but later moved to California. Thomas would visit her on the West Coast, and the two dated on and off for 10 years.

While the two have been broken up for years, Luckett gushed over what she still loves about the rapper.

“I love his confidence,” she explained during the series. “He has always been confident. He still is very self-confident. …He’s a star. When he walks in, I mean, first of all, he’s 6’6″. That’s always cute, and then, you know what I’m sayin’, he’s handsome.”

“It’s a light on him when he walks in any room. It’s attractive. You can’t miss him. And they don’t … ever. You really can’t miss him at all,” she added.

Touched by her words, Thomas shared what he still likes most about Luckett.

“Something surprising was her personality,” he said. “She’s silly, like we’d have a great time. … Her sense of humor is high and you’ll really laugh a lot dealing with Toya. I didn’t know that she was that funny.  … When I got to know her more, what I liked about her was the friendship. I felt like we was for real BFFs. It wasn’t a relationship where I was trying to duck her. We really enjoyed kicking it. That’s something so rare. I still have trouble finding friendships like that.”

While discussing their split, Thomas took the brunt of the blame, though Luckett chalked it up to them being in their 20s when they dated. The singer expressed they attempted to “have something very serious at a very young age.”

She said that while Thomas’ “heart was probably ready” to settle down, his environment wasn’t “aligned” with his desires.

Luckett also recounted Thomas enjoying attention from other women, which she said was heightened because they knew about their relationship.

But Luckett doesn’t believe Thomas is totally responsible for their breakup.

“I would get frustrated and I would leave a lot,” she explained.

Ultimately, Luckett said, like with any breakup, “there was heartbreak, [and] there was disappointment,” toward the end of their relationship.

“Regardless of whatever happened, it’s still been all love every time we see each other,” she said, adding how it always “felt like home” whenever they hung out.

Despite breaking off their relationship, both Luckett and Thomas said they aren’t opposed to a future together.

Thomas said that while they’re “so different” at this point in their lives, they would have to “see where they’re at in each other’s lives now.”

“The foundation is there,” Luckett said, adding that she has to make sure whoever enters her life is prepared to accept and love her two children, who she shares with her ex-husband, Tommicus Walker.

Fans in the comments were urging for a reconciliation, noticing the chemistry between the former couple.

“For 18 minutes and 54 seconds I looked like a ‘joker’ with a permanent smile on my face. Lol Please make it official again. You two are PERFECT for each other. Wow, Great Video,” one viewer wrote.

“The chemistry between y’all is undeniable and beautiful. I feel like y’all should give it another go. This was beautiful to watch and I love seeing authentic relationships. Black Love for the win,” another added.

One viewer wished the best for Luckett and Thomas.

“Letoya: ‘it feels like home.’ We can feel this even through the screen. Here I am wishing that they would get back together, but only if it’s right and healthy. Whatever may come, wishing you both the best,” they wrote.
