Bay Area performer Imani "June Bug" Carrier went viral for doing what he does best: dancing. In December 2016, Carrier shared a video of he and a friend harlem-shaking in an empty parking garage to a remix of the 80's classic “Love Come Down.”

The best part: It was all spontaneous.

"Me and my friend were just chillin. I was actually filming a video of his and we just decided, why not? Just go to random places and just have fun and dance somewhere," the 22-year-old told Blavity, as part our video series Life After Going Viral. "I woke up the next morning after we posted it that night and it was everywhere."

The video has nearly 8 million views to date, something that Carrier says has changed his life.

"Going viral was dope," he said, noting how people like Kyrie Irving and even Drake noticed the video.

"Drake liking the video — I'm like, this is not real — I checked his profile, I'm like, is this really him or is this a spam account? But it was really him."

Just weeks after Carrier posted the video, Kehlani reached out to him to perform at a concert. Jay Versace , Carrier says, danced with him in another video that went viral.

"Dance is so important to me because at that point in my life I was really down," Carrier told Blavity " And I've looked for things to make me happy, and I really found out dance is one of the things that make me happy."

Although Carrier admits he uses dance as a form of refuge, there are other forms of entertainment he's interested in exploring.

"I want to get into acting. Will Smith Is one of my favourite actors, so that's a person I really look up to," he said. "I also want to get into directing."
