Lionsgate will release Tyler Perry’s Single Moms Club on March 14, 2014, facing competition from Nicole Kidman in Grace Of Monaco and the action-drama Need For Speed, starring Aaron Paul, that weekend.
Nia Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Zulay Henao star in Single Moms Club, and are joined by William Levy, Terry Crews, Eddie Cibrian, Amy Smart, Cocoa Brown, Ryan Eggold and Tyler Perry himself.
Single Mom’s Club centers on a group of single mothers from varying backgrounds (Long, McLendon-Covery, Henao), who are brought together via an incident at the school their children attend, leading to the creation of a support group that helps all of them overcome personal obstacles.
Tyler Perry wrote, directed, and is producer of the film, which, as of today, will be his only branded release in 2014, and which, by the way, will become a TV series on OWN as well.
Ahead of its March release, the film’s first poster, which is more of a tease. Underneath it, you’ll find the film’s trailer.
Nice to see Nia Long get top-billing:
