nullIt's not that sequel to The Best Man that he's been wanting to do for a little while, but he also hasn't been behind the camera for a feature film since Soul Men in 2008, some 4 years ago; and it's a paycheck.

Malcolm D. Lee (Roll Bounce, Undercover Brother) is set to direct the latest in the Scream spoof franchise Scary Movie 5.

According to EW, the comedy will begin production this summer. David Zucker, who penned and directed the last 2 installments Scary Movie 3 and 4, will co-write the script with Lee.

Zucker and Lee will also produce the latest Dimension Films installment.  Casting is currently underway.

I don't remember Scary Movie 4 coming out last year. I guess I haven't really been paying attention. I don't think I'm in the film's target audience anymore anyway.

The first two were both directed by one Keenen Ivory Wayans, and, from what I've heard, have only gotten progressively worse since.

Lee last directed the comedies Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins and Soul Men, both released in 2008.
