A 70-year-old man was thrown off a plane for making a racist comment to a flight attendant, the New Pittsburgh Courier reports.

The incident took place aboard a Binter Canarias flight that was leaving from North Tenerife Airport in Spain for La Palma.

In a video recorded by another passenger, a white, seated man can be seen arguing with a flight attendant after the latter told the former to leave the plane. According to witnesses, the man was being kicked off because he yelled, “I don't want blacks around me” at the attendant, who is black.

The captain of the plane was called after the passenger wouldn’t listen to the flight attendant. The captain also asked him to leave and called security, who escorted the man off the plane without further incident.

Following the incident, the airline posted a statement on their Twitter page.

“From Binter we want to express our utmost rejection and outrage at behaviors of this type and show our full support to our crews who constantly strive to provide the best service to our customers," it read.

The airline also filed a complaint against the man for racial abuse, the Daily Mail reports.
