Matthew Knowles, Beyoncé‘s father and Destiny’s Child former manager, says he has one last wish for the iconic trio: new music.
When Destiny’s Child reunited on stage during Beyoncé’s unforgettable Coachella performance in 2018, fans hoped it was a sign the trio had plans for a new album or to go on tour again. Time passed, and fans of the girl group eventually realized the reunion was nothing more than a sweet surprise for viewers. But fans aren’t the only ones who would like to see Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams back together again. Knowles is rooting for another album from the Grammy-winning group.

During an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Knowles opened up about his secret desires for the beloved music group. “That’s a decision they will have to make,” he told ET’s Kevin Frazier. “And hopefully they do one last time in their career. Hopefully, they give us one last album. Never say it can’t happen.”
“We strategized five years out in the beginning of these ladies’ career, where they will be, which is why they did their solo projects,” Knowles continued. “Doing Destiny’s Child, that was not happenstance or luck, that was strategy that each one of them will build their own unique following. And their own unique base, come back together, Destiny’s Child, go back out as solo artists. That was all strategy.”
He also shared that if they do nothing else, he’s proud of what they accomplished together and the endeavors the women continue to make because it was all a dream at one point.
“I’m grateful,” he said. “I’m extremely grateful because they work so hard for their dreams to come true. So you can only have gratitude. And that’s what I have.”
Fans will have to wait and see if this wish comes true, but in the meantime, they can see Beyoncé, who is currently on her highly anticipated Renaissance World Tour.
