Meek Mill, who is currently serving prison time for a probation violation, is the latest celebrity to join Colin Kaepernick's million dollar charity pledge.
On Monday, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback shared on Twitter that the beleaguered rapper will be donating $10,000 to Philadelphia's Youth Service Inc.
Despite my brother @meekmill’s current circumstances, he continues to stay connected in the community of Philly. He pledged to go #10for10 on my #MillionDollarPledge. We’re both donating $10k for a combined $20k to Youth Service Inc. Keep staying strong Meek, we love you brother! pic.twitter.com/ZCbecqtPF6

"I’ve spoken to Meek several times since his incarceration and during one of these calls, is when he pledged…we’re both donating $10,000 each for a combined $20,000 to Philadelphia’s Youth Service Inc," Kaepernick said.
The Philadelphia hip hop star isn't the only entertainer to join Kaepernick's challenge. Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko are donating to School on Wheels in Los Angeles. Nick Cannon will donate $20,000, and Joey Bada$$ plans to donate $10,000 to the New York-based Communities United for Police Reform. T.I. has chosen to donate to a Houston-based organization, Angel By Nature.
Recently, Kaepernick also partnered with Golden State Warriors players Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, rap legend Snoop Dogg and tennis megastar Serena Williams.
Curry and Durant will donate $10,000 to Silicon Valley De-Bug, a community organization in San Jose, and Northern California's South Bay, which benefits youth, immigrants and low-wage workers. Snoop Dogg plans to donate to Mothers Against Police Brutality, and he's sweetening the deal by donating an additional $15,000 atop his first $10,000 donation. Williams reached out to Kaepernick asking that he donate to Imagine LA, a homeless prevention organization.
We love to see these public figures coming together and donating for such great causes!
