Megan Thee Stallion’s music is burning up the charts, but she’s already thinking about life outside of the rap game.

During an interview on ABC talk show Strahan, Sara and Keke last week, the Houston hottie said she wanted to open assisted-living facilities after she graduates from college. Meg is studying health administration at Texas Southern University and was inspired to go into the healthcare field after watching her grandmother act as a caregiver.

"I watched my grandmother take care of my great-grandmother all my life," Megan said. "Just watching these two little old ladies take care of each other, I was like, 'Y'all need some help.'"

Megan admitted juggling a thriving rap career with college isn’t easy, but she is determined to get her degree.

"I know my schedule is crazy because I'm on the road all the time rapping, but there are other women who take care of kids and work 9 to 5 [shifts] and the graveyard shifts," she added. "When you're going to school and you're really dedicated and you really want it, you will figure out a way to make the time to do it."

Her late mother Holly Thomas was her manager before she died of a brain aneurysm in March 2019. Thomas was a rapper and inspired her daughter’s mastery of the craft.

"My mom was a rapper … and I really kind of thought everybody's mom was a rapper. I thought it was normal," she said. "I would just watch her write in her room and then go to the studio when she would get off work."

The rapper has talked openly about her studies and has remained consistent with her goals in the healthcare field. Most people with her major go into nursing, but the sight of blood sent Thee Stallion galloping out of the room.

“I knew I didn't want to be a nurse. And once I started getting super popular with my music, I knew I probably wasn't going to go to medical school,” she told Billboard in 2018. “And then blood kind of makes me a little squeamish, so I was like, ‘I don't want to touch nobody.’ But I want to run the hospital. I don't want to do the dirty work, but I definitely want to put it there for people to come and help others.”

College was easy for her until her career began to take off.

“I'm still in school and at first, I'm not going to lie, it was kind of easy, because I wasn't so booked. I only have to go to school two days out of the week, but I'm there all day long,” she continued. “But now that I have something to do almost every day, it is pretty difficult. So I'm just doing my best.”

The “Captain Hook” emcee is riding her wave, but she is always looking toward a future without regrets.

“All my life I’ve been a person who’s had my hands in a lot of things. I was a bill collector at one point. I was a bartender,” Megan told The New York Times last week. “When I started rapping and making money, I was like, ‘I’m going to use this to do the things I really want to do: Finish school and start my business.’ I know I’m going to be an artist, and I’m going to do something in the medical field. I don’t want to look up and be 40, and be like, ‘Damn, I wish I would’ve done that.’”
