Ieshia Champs can serve as an inspiration to anyone striving for greatness.

The mother of five overcame a slew of obstacles to graduate from Texas Southern's Thurgood Marshall School of Law in May. But the diligence didn't end there. In a Facebook post on Monday, the Houston resident announced she passed the bar exam and is inching closer to her dream of becoming a judge.

Photos of a graduating Champs with her children went viral earlier this year.

At 7 years old, Champs was taken from her parents and forced into the foster care system. She went through multiple homes before finally settling with her uncle. She dropped out of high school and had her first child at 19.

"When I look at them, I know there is no way I want them to go back to that. So, therefore, they are my reason to keep going," Champs told WWL-TV of her young ones. "I look at that picture, and I cry because I cannot believe it."

Click 2 Houston reports the accomplished mama plans on joining a law firm and eventually becoming a judge. Champs also has dreams of establishing a law firm some day.

“Don’t let your current situation determine your future circumstances,” Champs said. “I honestly believe people can make their struggles into their success story. … If God can do it for me, he can do it for someone else.”
