A new two and half minute Cloud Atlas Trailer has surfaced.  After viewing the 6 minute Trailer released earlier by The Wachowski's and Twyker I wondered how they would provide the same dept of understuding, or confusion, in a traditional trailer.  After viewing I am even more intrigued.  The new trailer provides a bit more insight into the story, characters and themes.

For those who may have been living under a rock Cloud Atlas is the Epic Film Adaptation of the Best Selling novel of the same name by The Wachowski's and Tom Twyker.  The film stars and all-star cast; Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant, Keith David, and Jim Broadbent to name a few.  Each cast member plays numerous characters throughout the telling of this epic tale. 

The story goes:

"Cloud Atlas" explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future."

Keith David was nowhere to be seen in the trailer but Halle Berry is featured prominently.  Based on what I have seen in the trailer I can't wait to see her in this film.  The film is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this weekend.  I look forward to reviews and comments from attendees soon after.  For those of us not atteding Cloud Atlas will open October 26th.
