XXXtentacion’s murder was caught on tape, TMZ reports. That tape was shown in full in court.
Broward County, Florida prosecutors played the video during a bond hearing for Robert Allen, one of the four men facing charges related to the rapper’s death.
The tape begins with Allen, one of the suspects accused of murdering the late rapper, walking through a motorcycle shop as a customer service rep talks to X about a motorbike.
The video then shows two armed men approach the 20-year-old’s BMW while he was stopped at a traffic light. XXXtentacion struggled with the men as they pointed the guns at him and tried to snatch his chain from around his neck.
One man, identified as Michael Boatwright, fired the fatal shots while another, believed to be Trayvon Newsome, stole items from the vehicle. The men ran off with $50,000 in cash and a Louis Vuitton bag. Allen can be seen sitting in the thieves' getaway car.
A judge denied Allen bond, ruling he ought to remain in custody. The other accused men in are also being held without bail, according to WPLG. Another fourth man, Dedrick Williams, is also facing charges.
