West Coast hip-hop artist Nomis has stepped up to the plate during a time when political scandal is running rampant and a lot of us are still fighting for our basic rights. In his newest single “Prevail” Nomis calls us to do just that. To really fire the point into your eardrums, the Oceanside emcee calls upon spoken word poet/emcee and Humble Beast Records artist Propaganda.
We don’t just have two emcees rapping back and forth over a beat, Nomis and Propaganda go a step further. About halfway through the track, the knocking piano beat stops in favor of an acoustic guitar and spoken word by both Nomis and Prop. On the backend of the Spoken Word portion, Propaganda jumps right back into rapping as the piano and drums return. A song for the times, “Prevail” can motivate the masses.
