Despite recent negativity out of her control, Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei is coming out on top and prevailing against her naysayers.

Sunday night, they won Song of the Summer for “All in My Head (Flex)” at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. They also had Black Twitter shook when they beat the likes of Beyonce & Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna and & Drake for Best Collaboration, winning for their chart-topping single “Work from Home” with Ty Dolla $ign.

Now, Kordei appears as the coverwoman for the September issue of Modeliste magazine, and she took no prisoners! Miss Hamilton slayed this photoshoot.

She spoke to the magazine on a number of topics concerning her career and Fifth Harmony. She notably talked about being a role model for young people and how she manages that and being in the spotlight at the same time.

“It’s pretty tough [growing up in the public eye],” she said. “I think that a lot of the people on the outside don’t really necessarily understand all that we do and go through. It’s blood, sweat and tears. And constantly getting ridiculed by people that don’t even really know you can be tough and really take a toll on you. I think it’s just staying true to who it us you know you are.”

She even says that she feels rewarded by having girls look up to her. “I really do consider us as role models…I see my little cousin who looks up to me. She is constantly looking at my “Work from Home” video and my “Worth It” video as well. Just seeing in her eyes that I give her some source of hope that she can one day be whatever she wants to be is such a reward for me.”
