An Ohio man is getting wide praise for creating a life-size Nipsey Hussle wax figure. The artist, who posted a video of the dazzling tribute on Instagram, said he is proud to unveil “the first ever life size Nipsey Hussle wax figure.”
“This statue actually took about 9 months to create. After 9 long months the birthing of a legend is now revealed!” the Cleveland artist wrote.
The Instagram video gives a detailed look at the process of making the Nipsey figure, starting with how the clay is molded. The most tedious part, however, is making the hair, the artist said.
“Each strand of hair is put in one strand at a time,” the wax figure designer said.
The artist also designed each tattoo with careful detail. He then crafted Nipsey’s wardrobe to perfection from head to toe.
The mesmerizing figure features the late rapper’s popular kicks, clothes and jewelry, including his famous medallion.
The figure stood tall in the end, capturing Nipsey’s typical confident expression while posing in front of a “TMC” sign.
Social media users are going to the comment section to flood the artist with praise.
“Talent is impeccable brother keep going,” music producer Djuan Hart wrote.
“This is super impressive! I’m sure Lauren London would appreciate this,” another person wrote.
The Nipsey figure is created at Mr. Officials, a business in Strongsville, Ohio, which provides various types of artistic services for the community. The team designs clothes, hats, mugs, bags and more.
