An Arkansas first-grader is taking persuasive writing to the next level. 

Kamryn Gardner, a 7-year-old at Evening Star Elementary in Bentonville, Arkansas was dissatisfied with jeans containing fake pockets. So, she took it upon herself to pen a letter to Old Navy to express her concerns, KHOU11 reports. 

"I do not like that the front pockets of the girls jeans are fake,” the letter reads. “I want front pockets because I want to put my hands in them. I also would like to put things in them. Would you consider making girls jeans with front pockets that are not fake. Thank you for reading my request."

Gardner’s class recently learned the art of writing persuasive letters, and the first-grader definitely did not hesitate to put her skills to the test. 

The retailer responded to Gardner with their own letter as well as her own set of jeans and jean shorts. 

"Thank you so much for taking the time to write us about pockets on girl's jeans," the retailer responded in their letter. "The Old Navy kids product team appreciate your information. It's great feedback for us as we develop new product."

Last Thursday, Bentonville Schools recognized Gardner’s efforts and congratulated her for taking the initiative to reach out to Old Navy. 

“Oh, the power of persuasion especially when you're adorable! Earlier this year, first graders at Evening Star Elementary practiced writing persuasive letters. Kamryn Gardner recalled her classroom experience when she decided she was tired of buying girl jeans with fake pockets. She wrote Old Navy a letter and they responded!" the school said.

"Not only did they write back, they sent her four pairs of jeans with REAL pockets! Kamryn, you proudly own those pockets! Kudos to Old Navy for making this first grader's day and ours! #whereexcellencelives,” the school added.

This may only be the beginning for Gardner and her persuasive writing skills.
