Attorney Zulu Ali has made a major impact in his community in the pursuit of justice for all.

The former police officer and marine turned his commitment to justice and goodwill for others into a thriving law firm that has sought criminal justice for all, protection for immigrants, fairness for victims of discrimination and equality for persons seeking civil justice.

Since 2007, the Law Offices of Zulu Ali have done just that – and continues to do so.

Ali will be honored for his service by the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Action Network founded by Reverend Al Sharpton. According to Black News, he will be celebrated for his community service during the African American Vanguard Awards reception on Nov. 9, 2017, at the landmark California African American Museum.

Over the past few years, Ali has also worked with the American Committee for United Nations Oversight lobbying the U.N. for police reform. The Tennessee State alum also serves as the director of the Stop and Frisk Academy that teaches at-risk young people how to deal with police encounters. In addition, he is also the director of the Southern California Veterans Legal Clinic and a member of the National Conference of Black Lawyers.

This latest honor is just one of many that include being called one of the Top 100 Lawyers by the National Black Lawyers-Top 100; Top 100 Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers-Top 100; Premier 100 Trial Lawyers by the American Academy of Trial Attorneys; Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys by the American Jurist Institute; and named Top 10 Best Lawyers in Criminal Law, Personal Injury, and Immigration Law by the American Institute of Legal Counsel.

The attorney lives in Southern California with his wife, four adult children and two grandkids.
