Oprah decided to clap back at a critic who questioned why she wasn't offering to pay off onerous student loans like Robert Smith, who announced a plan to pay off the student loans of 400 Morehouse graduates on Sunday.

Oprah shared a fun photo of herself onstage at Colorado College's graduation ceremony on Sunday.

"I don’t know who this guy is but he sure is happy to graduate! I shook hands with all 571 members of @coloradocollege's Class of 2019 and gave them a copy of The Path Made Clear," she wrote in the caption.

A user going by @spiritualceo1111 wrote under her caption: "Should have paid off their student debt @oprah lol @morehouse1867 ????????????????"

To the surprise of everyone, Oprah responded to the barb, writing, "@spiritualceo1111already paid 13m in scholarships. Have put over 400 men thru @morehouse1867."

On Sunday, Robert Smith announced a plan to create a $40 million fund to pay off the student loans for this year's Morehouse graduates. The decision garnered a huge response on social media, with many joking that next year's commencement speaker will have big shoes to fill.
