There is nothing media mogul Oprah Winfrey can't do. 

Over the course of her career, Oprah has dominated the media landscape as a TV talk show host, as an actress, and as an entrepreneur. The media maven also started her own television network OWN that features a variety of black-centric shows, like "Queen Sugar," that aren't found anywhere else. 

But it is her work as an entertainer that has attracted the attention of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

With notable films like "Beloved," "Selma," "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" and "The Color Purple" in her filmography, she has lit up the silver screen as well as the small. Winfrey will be the recipient of 2018's Cecil B DeMille Award at the Golden Globes for her incredible career.  

"As a global media leader, philanthropist, producer and actress, she has created an unparalleled connection with people around the world, making her one of the most respected and admired figures today," Meher Tatna, the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, said.

"Holding titles such as Chairman, CEO and Founder, Oprah is one of the most influential women of our time, and this honor is well deserved, especially in this 75th anniversary year of the Golden Globe Awards."

Oprah joins an impressive list of former recipients which include Audrey Hepburn, Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington and directors Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.

The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on NBC, Jan. 7, 2018, at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and will be hosted by Seth Meyers.
