Check out this video preview of Ghostface Killah’s Twelve Reasons To Die graphic novel, which is also the title of his new album – both graphic novel and album produced by his fellow Wu-Tang Clan member RZA (also a multidisciplinary himself).
The obvious first question I always think of when I learn of these non-film creations that lend themselves well to film adaptations, is, are there plans for the graphic novel to become a movie? Especially as graphic novels are routinely optioned in Hollywood these days. And also as RZA is now a filmmaker, with one studio feature film credit to his name, and at least one graphic novel already optioned.
But it’s all part of the marketing machine as the artists and media platforms continue to be fluid.
Ghostface Killah’s Twelve Reasons To Die tells the story of “one vengeful soul hunting the 12 most powerful crime lords in the world.”
Artists enlisted to bring Mr Killah’s vision to life include: Jim Mahfood (Tank Girl), Paolo Rivera (Daredevil), and Ramon Perez (Wolverine & The X-Men), among others.
Issue 1 of what will be a 6-part series will be available for purchase on May 29.
