This is how you get students excited about school again. In a world where students are forced to be glued to their screens daily for both classes and homework, it’s nice to see a principal taking his role to the next level to keep his students engaged.

Principal Kenneth Deshone Farr II went viral on TikTok after junior high school therapist Priscilla Aguirre posted a video of him singing and dancing with his students to “Action Song” by The Singing Walrus. The heartwarming video just might give you some ideas to keep your young ones engaged after a long day of Zoom lessons.

In the clip that received over 350,000 views and nearly 23,000 shares, Aguirre captioned her post, "When I tell y'all I love him, that's an understatement. Co-teaching with my human has been the best."

After the Richmond, California based educator learned that he went viral on TikTok, Farr wrote a post on Facebook to celebrate and share his passion for teaching.

“When we needed a teacher, we weren’t finding the best fit, so we did what we had to do! We decided that if we did this together, we would have the capacity to give our students what they need during these challenging times,” Farr wrote.

“Thank you Tiktok friends for dancing with us in the morning and showing our TikTok so much love! We’re both so grateful for our students, and for our ‘Little School Up On the Big Hill!’ None of this would be possible without the St. David School community and family!”

Farr is principal at St. David School, and he's also a former student at St. David School, according to RichmondStandard.com
