Chicago rapper CupcakKe announced her retirement from music in a disturbing Instagram Live video.

In a shocking move, the artist, born Elizabeth Harris, told her fans over the weekend that she would cancel her current $10k tour, remove her music from streaming sites and retire from the industry.

The 18-minute live video came after the rapper released her latest single "Grilling N****s." According to the Orlando Weekly, she was scheduled to perform at the Orlando club, The Social on Monday. Wrapped in what appeared to be a hotel bedsheet, CupcakKe spoke directly into the camera about an array of issues including gambling.

“So this Live is going to be the last video that y’all will see of me,” she said. “I will no longer be doing music, and all of my music will be coming off of every platform.”

She expressed clear disappointment with how the industry has treated her. According to Billboard, the rapper regrets writing overly sexual songs when she was a teen. Due to the popularity of her more overtly raunchy singles, she claimed she was corrupting the youth and wished her music which wasn't related to sex garnered as much attention.

"I feel as though I’m corrupting the youth… I want to go to heaven after this, and I don’t want to go to hell," she said wiping tears in a segment from the Live video not captured in the above tweet. "Just seeing all-age kids at the shows, seeing them sing along to ‘hump me’ and ‘f**k me’ and all this s**t, it has torn me apart. I’m just not happy. I don’t want to be around no one right now… It’s wrong. And even if it’s OK for y’all, it’s not OK with me… I want to be normal again.”

Sadly, she also shared that she lost an estimated $700,000 due to gambling. The whole experience has left her second-guessing her relationships with others.

Earlier this year, CupcakKe was hospitalized after tweeting about suicidal thoughts. Police took her to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

The 22-year-old's music has not been removed from major streaming sites as of this report. However, there are no posts on her Instagram, and her Twitter account appears to be abandoned.
