It’s official, The Real Housewives of Atlanta is returning in December for season 13 and promises to be an explosive one. Despite the absence of OG Nene Leakes, there’s enough drama with returning housewives and fresh faces to keep viewers entertained.

The trailer opens and delves right into the stripper-gate rumors. Weeks ago, rumors spread that two housewives got raunchy with a stripper hired to put on a show for Cynthia Bailey’s bachelorette party. Later on in the trailer, friend to the show Tanya Sam tearfully lashes out at co-stars who say she was involved in the rendezvous. 

Kenya Moore makes it clear that she heard something go down and refuses to let it go. Even Kandi Burruss joins in on the jokes, making a reference to the infamous sex dungeon rumors started by Porsha Williams in season 9.

Aside from Cynthia Bailey’s upcoming nuptials, not much else is going on with the cast. It looks like Marc Daly is divorcing Moore and seeking custody of their daughter Brooklyn…as well as alimony. Burruss also has some baby daddy drama with her eldest daughter Riley. Though Riley is off to college, Burruss says Riley’s dad owes 10 years worth of child support.

Porsha Williams’ involvement with the Black Lives Matter movement will be her central storyline. The questions surrounding the current status with her on-again-off-again fiance Dennis McKinley are also present. Williams is seen in tears with her sister as she expresses the relationship is more than likely over.

There’s also a newcomer, actress Drew Sidora. She’s moved from LA to Atlanta and is introduced to the group as a friend of Cynthia’s. Sidora has her own marital troubles and admits to the ladies that her and her husband were near divorce thanks to his disappearing acts. In one scene, Sidora demands answers from her husband as to where he disappeared to for three days and why he was unreachable during that time. Sidora also gets into a verbal spat with Williams in one clip.

Marlo Hampton is also back and seems to finally make peace with Moore. There’s also another friend to the show, YouTube sensation LaToya Ali whom Moore has a girl crush on.
