Black British journalist Gary Younge recently caught up with the organizer of the white nationalists' march across the University of Virginia that resulted in a weekend of chaos, mayhem, and death. Younge interviewed Richard Spencer for a documentary called “Angry, White And American,” set to air Thursday night on the British network Channel 4.
After getting over his initial surprise that the interviewer was black, Spencer attempts to explain to the editor-at-large for The Guardian why slavery was a good thing for black people saying, “Africans have benefited from their experience with white supremacy.” As his incoherent argument, venturing from slavery to Donald Trump, Spencer came off looking like the ignorant bigot that he is.
