Safaree Samuels is not shy when it comes to showing off his body or boasting about his sexual prowess — both of which he proudly shows on internet content subscription service OnlyFans. It turns out that while some may criticize the rapper’s openness, he’s laughing to the bank.
According to Narcity, the rapper-turned-reality star is bringing in a major bag on the London-based platform. Whatever dollar amount popped into your head, double it.
Samuels created his OnlyFans account back in 2020 with his then-wife Erica Mena as a means to bring home some extra bacon each month, Metro reports. Known for its more explicit content, many were skeptical about the new parents’ decision to join the platform. Rapper Khia was one of the loudest critics of Samuels and Mena’s OnlyFans account, posting a video questioning why the newlyweds and new parents were participating on the platform, The Shade Room reports.
Naturally, Mena and Safaree clapped back, revealing that in their first week on the OnlyFans site, they made almost $100,000.
Now, in just two years, the rapper makes over 10 times that amount each month.
Since making his own account sans Mena, a recent report from Statista analyzed last year’s data and found that the Love & Hip Hop star brings home a whopping $1.91 million a month on the platform, Narcity reports.
Mena makes even more on OnlyFans. According to Narcity, the report states that she makes an estimated $4.49 million in monthly earnings, thanks to her loyal fans who are willing to pay for access to her content on the platform.
Who was OnlyFans' highest-earning celebrity creator?
While Safaree and Erica Mena brought home the big bucks, there were other celebs who made even more bank.
The highest earning OnlyFans celebrity was actually none other than Blac Chyna, who made an estimated $20 million in earnings per month. She’s followed by former Disney star Bella Thorne, who brings in an estimated $11 million per month.
Cardi B’s a big earner too. She makes around $9.34 million dollars per month on OnlyFans.
Launched in 2016, OnlyFans has completely revolutionized the sex service industry and internet landscape. According to the report, traffic skyrocketed in 2020 and continued to grow in 2021. The platform reached 39.43 million visits in January 2022. Now other social media platforms want a piece of the pie.
Twitter has tried to monetize adult content in an attempt to become OnlyFans’ new competitor, the Independent reports. But after concerns about child sexual abuse arose, Twitter’s efforts to become more like OnlyFans were put on pause.
In the meantime, more folks are turning to OnlyFans to reach new tax brackets.
