One Delta employee made the grave mistake of being rude to America’s favorite auntie, Sheryl Lee Ralph. The beloved Abbott Elementary actress took to social media to share what happened, and she had the best response to the airline company.

In a clip shared on her Twitter account, Ralph explained what happened when she tried to check her bags and head to her gate.

“I went to the airline — you know, the one I’m a 3 million-miler on — to check my bags, and I was four minutes late because they need 45 minutes to check you in,” she explained. “And the woman said there is absolutely nothing we can do for you.”

Ralph said she told the Delta worker that she’s “checked in on flights later than this” and she was only four minutes late. But they weren’t hearing it.

While telling viewers of her inconvenience, she dropped a gem of auntie advice everyone needs to hear.

“I was just saying that in these days and times, be kinder, just be nicer because you just never ever know,” she added.

The 65-year-old then pivoted back to the topic at hand, throwing the best shade at Delta.

“Anyway, I just bought my ticket on American Airlines and we’ll be flying now,” she said. “Thank you, God bless you and be well.”

Everyone to @Delta right now:,” one user wrote with a gif of Shereé Whitfield from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“Me coming down from corporate to fire the disrespectful baggage handler,” tweeted another.

“Give us some names Auntie, cause not that one! Not that one!” a twitter user shared.

Wanda Sykes even entered the chat.

“I’ve said it before…Delta’s motto should be, “We will leave your ass,” Sykes tweeted.

A few viewers stuck up for the airline employee.

“As someone who works in the airline industry, there’s a reason you have to be on time for check in, EVEN if it is just 4 minutes. There’s a lot more that goes on behind the scenes than just ‘checking in.’ So please be kind enough to understand that,” they added.

“Miss Sheryl, this is a Delta issue, not a kindness one. That person could lose their job being kind to you and breaking rules. Delta should ensure that there is flexibility in their rules for ppl who fly them very often so the representatives can avoid these situations,” another wrote.
