After four years of hard work, tenacity and sheer determination, Shilo Sanders earned all his credits and his undergraduate degree from Jackson State University. Shilo is one of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders‘ sons.

Following his transfer from the University of South Carolina in 2020, Sanders played for the Tigers in the fall of 2021 and 2022. As a leading safety for the team, he developed a reputation for being one of the defense’s hard hitters coming across the middle. Since then, he became a fan favorite and proclaimed himself the “headache gang CEO.”

Sanders boosted his popularity when he learned some moves from JSU’s drum major and went viral with his performance on the field.

Shortly after his father departed from Jackson State to the University of Colorado, Shilo announced he didn’t transfer to UC mainly because of his family. Instead, he told Anthony Hamilton Jr. he wanted to make the best decision for himself because he didn’t have many seasons of college football left. After graduating from JSU, Sanders will be eligible to transfer and play for Colorado this fall as a graduate student. In December, Sanders entered the transfer portal.

In celebration of his accomplishment, Shilo posted an invitation to his graduation celebration at M-Bar Sports Lounge in Jackson, Mississippi.

Colorado football’s first game is scheduled for September 2 at Texas Christian University. Before that, Jackson State opens its season at the Cricket MEAC SWAC Challenge Kickoff on August 26 against South Carolina State in Atlanta.
