Watch filmmaker Lionel Cineas’ latest short, Weekend Lover.

Readers may remember some of Cineas’ past projects, like Land of Dreams and Young Girl.

Well, he’s back with Weekend Lover, “a relatable take on sex & sexuality, love, gender roles & gender norms, conformity for love, sacrifice and heartbreak.” The project addresses the notion that “so often we encounter people who allow their past to define and INFECT any semblance of a healthy relationship.”

Tiffany Nicole and Andre Ozim star in the film, with cinematography by Garth Von Glehn.
