Singer-songwriter Tweet has been hospitalized for severe blood clots in her lungs and arms according to Instagram posts from her daughter and spouse.

On Tuesday, Aug. 29, Tweet's daughter, Shenice Johnson, revealed on Instagram that her mother entered the hospital to be treated.  In that post, Johnson asked for prayers from her mother's adoring fans. “My mom has been admitted into the hospital battling blood clots in her lungs," the caption read. "We are believing God for total recovery! She's my world and I know she's in God's hands !!”

Shortly after Johnson's post, Tweet's spouse, Pastor Jamal Bryant from Baltimore, shared a post on Instagram asking his followers to send positive vibes Tweet's way as well. He revealed that doctors were having difficulty locating the clots but remained hopeful that she would recover.

“I need your prayers for @tweet_. She's been admitted in hospital for blood clots in both lungs & right arm! Doctors can't trace it but God is a healer! Prayer still works …”

Wednesday, rapper Missy Elliott shared the devastating news with her fans via Twitter. She also asked for prayers for her long-time friend. As many can recall, Elliott and Tweet collaborated on the 2002 track “Oops (Oh My)” which landed on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart making Tweet an instant star.

Tweet recently collaborated with Solange on her Grammy-award winning album, A Seat At The Table. And in 2016, Tweet returned to form with the release of her own album, Charlene.

Despite posts indicating admittance earlier this week, the exact time and date Tweet was hospitalized have not be released by family members to the media as of this report.

Like her fans and loved ones, we wish the New York artist a speedy recovery.
