Sisters Carolyn and Marie shared a heartwarming conversation on a recent episode of The Skin Deep. The two women reflected on the bond they shared while growing up and spoke about how close they still remain today after nearly 70 years.

The sisters reaffirmed to each other that they will always have each other’s back. They also described their relationship as a “spiritual connection.”

“We can be in two different places and we would come out with the same outfit on without even talking about it,” the sisters shared.

Carolyn and Marie gave credit to their parents for encouraging them to always love each other and take care of their brothers.

When the women spoke about their biggest wish for each other, one of them said she hopes to see her sister get married to somebody who will be happy to do things together consistently. The sisters circled back to the beauty of their relationship, saying they got each other’s back and always listen to one another.

The sisters also gave credit to their parents for teaching them to put family first.

“What our urgency is is not someone else’s,” the women said. “We have to know what is impacting us. You got to go after it and take care of your business. That understanding is what makes us a strong family.”

Carolyn and Marie shared heartwarming compliments during their conversation. One of the siblings suggested for her sister to run for office because she has strong leadership skills.

The pair said their relationship is not about power, but about “a shared level of respect.” For Carolyn and Marie, it’s also about what their parents taught them.

“You and I are like this because of the legacy our parents passed on to us,” the women said. “Make sure we take care of what’s given to them.”
