Before Lizzo captured the hearts of women on the journey to a place where they're assertively declaring they are "100% that bitch," she was playing the flute along to Jay-Z on a snowy day.
As Dazed notes, a YouTube account titled lizzomusic, which seemingly belonged to the singer in her early career, features five videos of a younger "Tempo" crooner. In the style of most up-and-coming artists sharing their work to YouTube, Lizzo is seen in three of the videos singing covers of songs and an original in front of her webcam.
The oldest video dates back nine years and shows the singer-rapper, now 31, performing an acapella version of a song from a musical group she belonged to who went by Ellypseas.
Another features the star doing her signature flute-playing along to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 2009 hit "Empire State of Mind."
Then, there's the blow-out adorning, hoop-wearing Lizzo singing a soulful rendition of Adele's "Someone Like You."
Sis been had the range.
