As Sergio already announced a month ago, Spike Lee will be lecturing at the Chicago State University library TOMORROW Wednesday February 8th, from 6-8:30PM… figured I'd remind those of you in Chicago in case you've forgotten.

The lecture is FREE by the way, and is part of the university's "Revolutions, Reels, and Rhythms" series for Black History Month.

The event was already a must-attend in my book when Sergio announced it in early January; but since then, a lot has happened that I think makes it even more intriguing! I'm of course referring to the fact that his Red Hook Summer screened at Sundance in late January, and the reactions that followed the film's debut – the walkouts, the Q&A, the mostly negative reviews, and more.

Spike is supposed to speak on his career as a filmmaker, with a Q&A session to follow, and I can only guess that Red Hook Summer WILL come up at some point during the 2 1/2 hours! That's a long time.

Wish I could be there; I hope it's video-taped!
