Mega-producer Swizz Beatz proved this week that age and time won't stop his shine. In a recent video on Instagram, Swizz announced he will be graduating with a degree from Harvard. In his celebration, he recounts how he came from the Bronx and is now a Harvard graduate. "It's never too late to be great," he writes in his caption.
“It’s been a blessing coming from the Bronx, going to Harvard. A lot of people were saying why would you go to school? It’s never too late to get your education, further your education,” Swizz said in the video. “Knowledge is power,” he added. “It don’t have to be an Ivy league school. Just as long as you’re doing your thing, do your thing.”
In the video, Swizz also celebrates the good life and all of his achievements in the music industry and dedicates his upcoming accomplishment to friends and family who have always supported him. He also explains that things could've turned out differently for him.
“Now this is my graduation stretch. Cheers,” he said. “We could’ve been in a jail cell. Showtime! From the Bronx to Harvard. I’m in a good space. I’m in a good move. I’m doing this for the culture. I’m doing this for my kids, my family, for ya’ll, for me.”
We're not sure what degree Swizz will receive or his actual graduation date. But in his caption, the superstar says the three years he has dedicated to his education has gone by really fast and he has about three weeks before he completes the program. Swizz Beatz isn't the only megastar who has graduated from college. He joins the ranks of J.Cole, Ice Cube, Childish Gambino and many others.
